spirits

where have all the spirits gone
i call them up, the ghosts and ghouls
but none come to my summoning
have i not followed all the rules

alas it seems their time is done
now it has passed all hallow’s eve
they will not come to any call
no matter what some folk believe

so if i’d see my foul work done
it seems the onus falls on me
oh sod it i’ll not bother then
i’ll just sit here and drink my tea

LOLO!! The entire cast of the Rocky Horror Show just showed up. All about 16 or 17 years old. The outfits were actually terrific. We get about 50 kids every year. The dogs go nuts! Not too many little ones this year. I think the bad weather has kept the little ones home due to fear (and rightfully so) of falling branches and slippery streets. There are two scarecrows out there now. All Hotspur needs is mini-Hershey candies. Trust me! 😀

YES!! With that bustier and knee high black patent leather boots (and it was a girl) Magenta looked the best! 😀

I believe everything..except for the suspenders..unless they had little jingle bells on them! 😀 😎 I STILL say you don’t look elebentymumble years old! 😀 😀 😀 If I was in Rocky Horror, I”d be Riff Raff. He had the best part (and hair) 🙂

                • I wore the suspenders (in TTI they’re the things that hold the stockings up) and Xmas tree baubles hanging from my earrings. I am elebentymumble and the 20 or so I was when I wore the outfit. Riff Raff has more developed male pattern baldness than I do, and my hair is grey, other than that, twins 😆

Riff Raff gets to shoot everyone with his trident AND gets to steer the spaceship back to the planet AND (ok, so I have seen it something like 50 times) gets to sing the haunting title song AND “There’s a light..over at the Frankenstein place…” *sways…* sigh..wish I could have seen the original play…O’Brien has more MPB than me too!! Have you seen him recently?? totally bald (and shiny now!)

Suspenders here are the things that keep your pants up..and your socks if they are sewed to your pants. 🙂 Xmas tree baubles hanging from your earrings.. I love that!!

                    • He presented a gameshow here in the early nineties, and was already shaven headed (or bald) then. I’ve only ever seen the film, I have the dvd somewhere, I’ll have to look for it. 😀

I think I’ve reached the limit of nesting 😀

            • oh dear me (just got back to this, been rattling round the house today)…
RHPS was a fave of mine at Uni way back when I was still in TN… I can imagine them showing up at *my* door (tho nobody here knows what it is).

  3. Henry IV, Part 1, Act 3

    Glendower:
I can call spirits from the vasty deep.

    Hotspur:
    Why, so can I, or so can any man;
But will they come when you do call for them?

Perhaps my all time favourite Shakespeare quote 😆
