sweeping generalisations written in an unknown language

blow my socks off seems i’m angry
where is death when i’m alone
shading in to thoughts of silence
i wont answer if you phone
cortex context is a mystery
life rebounds off nothing seen
call for lines to be drawn slowly
slide into the soft machine
reason takes a sneaky day off
mother feeds the cat again
waiting for the new tuxedo
counting coup from one to ten
yesterday was shaping nicely
whiskers on or off it seems
shake a leg at politburo
cursed remains of sordid dreams
therefore if you look inside it
chorus sung by very few
we could paint the world in dayglo
take a bite of something new
custom written who responded
underneath an awkward smile
take a pint of what you fancy
discord remains at half a mile
shepherds taken in extremis
words once used are thrown away
i will shudder if you touch me
sing again the perfect day
danger comes in many colours
each returns where it began
fortress marked and placed in storage
covert reference to the man
juliet came close to reason
open sores or close them down
i invite the fool to dinner
on his head a serpent crown
sip a sip of nitroglycerine
corporate folly getting old
why you took that sudden byway
i demand that we be told

“Mother feeds the cat again” will always be my favorite line! šŸ˜€

    • Some lines read like they might make some kind of sense, do not trust them, none of them do šŸ˜ˆ šŸ˜†
