dancing

dancing on the rooftops throwing words at those below
he came to see you suffering and now he will not go
a devil in the daytime a monster in the night
he could turn you inside out bring all your sins to light
and he calls down to your neighbours to signal his intent
it changes with the seasons but the word is now “repent”
and what use all your riches when he stands beyond your reach
merciless and madcap with a message he would preach
and you can walk away of course pretend that you don’t care
what is one more critic when you have them to spare
but I am here and watching and I smile to see your rage
written on your face as clear as words upon a page
and oh but it is beautiful to see you stuck for choice
you could not call out loud enough to drown his antic voice
his dancing prancing capering, more than you can take
and I for one will love it just to watch your spirit break

This is a very new cadence in your poetry and I liked it a lot. I found it fascinating that you were able to maintain it so perfectly and you did an excellent job. Great poem, great theme and excellent imagery. I can’t even tell you which line I like best; they all read beautifully. Bravo!

  3. Where I ask, whilst I marvol, where does all this great creativity well up from within you? Your brain, your heart, your soul and all of the above.

    • Absolutely no idea šŸ˜€ but occasionally out of the random junk the brain throws up during the course of the day something will stick šŸ˜€

      • Some brains just get occaisional gas. We would be the less creative brains. šŸ™‚ !!

        • The vast majority of what my brain throws up is hardly worth contemplating, however there is little to distract me when something piques my interest šŸ˜€
