dream

I dream a silent sourceless dream
of you and I and shadow games
of time and tears and how things were
before we shot them down in flames

and in the morning I awake
and look to see you’re still not there
and I arise to face once more
the daily battle with despair

and come the night I take my bed
to lie alone to toss and twist
and pray I have that dream again
the only time that you exist

  1. Such a poignant poem … one I can identify with. Glad yo see you write again. I’ve been thinking of you amid all the government messing around with people’s lives, hoping you have not been affected too much. I would really like to hear from you…hugs.

    • Thank you 😀 I’m doing fine at the moment, waiting for the system to grind small enough to let me know what’s happening 😀 And how are you, well I hope! It’s good to see you here again {{{CMiWY}}}

    Excellent and very poignant poem..as both Judi and abikertoo said…torn between two worlds..reality and dreams..neither of which are enough…. *clappity-clappity*..

    • This poem is the story of two worlds, and two lines, the first line which gave me the first verse, and the last line which gave me a target for the other two 😀
