love story

I loved him when the sun stood high
and when the moon was in the sky
I loved him with a love so true
I cannot speak its depth to you
I loved him when he held me tight
he was my heart and my delight
I loved him with a passion’s flame
oh you would have done just the same
I loved him more with every breath
and swore I’d love him ’til my death
I loved him so the stories say
but that was on another day

I loved him from his printed word
but in my head his voice I heard
I loved him though he sometimes cried
I even loved him when he lied
I worried ’bout him night and day
I was afraid of what he’d say
and when evil stalked his life
his battles filled with constant strife
I wondered how this all would end
and prayed his future would be penned
but I knew, and bit the hook
and now I wait for the next book…

    • Very nice 😀

Mine started with the last two lines popping into my head, and a desire to use them… 😀

After I read your poem..the word “story” stuck in my head which then became “book” which then lead me to write it backwards from the last word..and since I am in the middle of a series of books that you recommended…I’m eager to find out how things go in the next book, and so, I’m hooked! 😀 😀

  2. Cheers, you two!

Glad you liked it PB! As soon as I read sun’s poem…the response popped up in my head since that is the way I feel about every character in every book I’ve ever read. 😀

    • Cheers yourself 😀
