oliver and serena

by sunovawot and damommza

in the pale glow of moonlight
in the still of midnight air
though i cannot see your figure
in my heart you’re always there

now death has joined forever
what life could never part
though others bid us farewell
for us it’s just the start…

A true story and one of the greatest cat love stories of all times… After Serena died, Oliver sat in my driveway for almost 2 years waiting to see her again. He is buried facing my driveway but I like to think that he is long gone and has met her at the stream in the back of my house. They spend their days sleeping in the sun, lazily watching the frogs jump and their nights watching the crickets and spiders..together now for an eternity.. ❤

    • This time it was your turn to provide the perfect ending… of the poem, at least 🙂

I lived the story..and you, having heard it..started it out so beautifully..it’s as if you saw him sitting at night..staring at my windows…waiting…
